HOLIDAY HOME
- Design

In the landscape of Székelyvarság, there are still non-architectural structures that immediately reveal the virtues often lacking in many modern "architectural" creations. These buildings are free from any exaggerations or unnecessary aesthetic embellishments, focusing solely on the given construction task.
They concentrate on the inherent potential of wood as a building material, emphasize the compact but emotional volumes, and their positioning responds sensitively to the given site. The beauty of these structures is simiral to the rural houses described in Adolf Loos's essay "Architecture": "They stand there as if not created by human hand. As if they had come out of God’s workshop. Like the mountains and trees, the clouds and the blue sky."
Based on these thoughts, the concept of the holiday house derives from the atmosphere of the place. The connection between the house and nature is formed through notches in the floor plan’s structure: on the lower two levels, through direct entry points, and on the third-floor terrace, through the visual relationship with the pine trees.
